Instructor: Mario Rodriguez
9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Maximum Class Size: 12

Building a fine and complex piece of furniture is quite an accomplishment and installing the hardware is often the final hurdle; the selection and installation of the hardware can make or break your masterpiece.

Learn how to select the most appropriate hardware for your furniture piece.  Locate the best makers and suppliers of quality hinges, handles, latches, and locks.

Using simple hand tools, master the techniques of measuring, laying out and marking your work accurately for perfectly fitting butt, surface-mounted, and knife hinges, and a half mortise lock.  Learn how to troubleshoot ill-fitting hardware and correct mistakes.

The techniques learned in this workshop will give your work a clean and professional appearance.

This is a recommended prerequisite course for the Monticello Lap Desk Master Class
