During the Victorian period interior woodwork was often characterized by choice hardwoods, generous dimensions, intricate details, and full, fluid curves.  Join us to build this practical and handsome wall cabinet of quartered oak. The chest’s door can either be fitted with mirror glass for use as a bathroom medicine chest or seeded reproduction glass for service as a curio cabinet or kitchen spice cabinet.

The cabinet, made of solid quartersawn oak and measuring 18”wide, 30”high, and 9” deep, features:

  • Generous interior storage space
  • 4” deep open bottom shelf
  • Bold 2 ½” high shop-made crown molding
  • 2 adjustable shelves
  • brass period appropriate cupboard latch and hinges.

Period cabinets of this design and size are rare and hard to come by.  And reproductions often go for hundreds of dollars in home décor catalogs and antique auctions.

Course fee (including materials fee) $625
