Here are some excerpts from letters we received from recent PFW students:

Dear Alan and Mario,

It’s hard for me to express my feelings about the experience at your school. The high level of instruction that was given might have been expected from craftsmen such as you. The warmth and giving that was extended to us was something that I couldn’t even think of getting in a workshop. I am filled with a wonderful glow inside whenever I think of those three days. It isn’t often that one can experience such joy.

Dear Alan,

In the week that has gone by since my classes on sharpening and handplanes I have had some time to reflect on all that I learned. It was much more than how to properly hone an edge and set up a handplane. All the little pieces of information gleamed this past weekend are just too numerous to mention. It would almost seem hard to believe to anyone who was not there just how much a person could learn in two days just being around guys like you and Mario.
I want to thank you and Mario for a fantastic experience. Your Philadelphia Furniture Workshop is a true asset that is needed in this area.

I just wanted to thank you again for the hearth bench course. We had friends over for a party the other night and I enjoyed telling them about the process. Actually, I think I bored my friends with my descriptions but they appreciated how excited I am about woodworking.
