Well, six busy days using tools a bit bigger than the average bear, and each PFW student has built a 300 lb. bench worthy of their best furniture-making effort. While this bench may not be invited to the dining room, no passionate woodworker would let it live there anyway. PFW students, use it well.
Here we are, taking these benches down the inclined conveyor belt for their final ride home. Usually, on Monday morning, we get a call or two thanking us for this course, with our students telling us that it is nice to be back in the office, where things are a bit less rigorous than building a true joiner's bench.
We are pretty certain that our students' great grandchildren will use this bench well.
