Band Saw Techniques
Instructor: Craig Vandall Stevens/Alan Turner
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (day);
Maximum Class Size: Approximately 12
In the course of a typical day in the shop, the bandsaw is used for more than just cutting curves. And given the choice of only one stationary woodworking machine, we might choose the bandsaw.
The course begins with an overview of the bandsaw: its design, how it works, and what it can do. Then we'll survey the different types of bandsaws on the market and their capabilities in order to help you choose the best one for your shop.
Learn to use this effective tool to execute fine joinery, re-saw boards to desired thickness, cut veneers, make cabriole legs, and cut accurate, flowing curves.
The bandsaw is a far more versatile tool than you might think, and this course will definitely expand its role in your workshop.
Course fee (including materials fee) $175
