The router is an indispensable woodworking tool and knowing how to fully utilize this compact woodworking miracle will enable you to achieve more while spending less money, using less shop space, and taking less time to complete your projects.
In our series of 3 workshops, PFW instructors will cover the best and safest ways to get the most out of your router.
Router Basics II
This workshop concentrates on the router table, a popular and useful shop fixture that expands the range of what a router can do while increasing production and accuracy and improving shop safety.
This workshop covers the design and fabrication of a router table, commercial accessories available for router tables, and jigs for the router.
Workshop exercises will include: production of cope and stick joinery, template shaping, producing rabbets and dadoes, and raised panel work.
