Make a Federal Period Tapered Leg
Instructor: Mario Rodriguez
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The tapered leg, replete with stringing, bandings, and bellflowers is the earmark of Federal period furniture. It was often used on card tables, sideboards, and Pembroke tables.
In this workshop, create a leg, complete with oval inlay, upper banding, cuff banding, stringing, and sand-shaded bellflower inlays. Students will learn how to create this beautiful furniture feature using both hand tools and a small, hand-held router.
