Maximum Class Size: Approximately 12
This is the third of a series of 3 "total beginner" workshops designed to carefully introduce the total beginner to woodworking by presenting material around a project-based curriculum. Of course, important and interesting material related to woodworking in general is thoroughly covered. We feel that the planning, learning, practice, and hard work that goes into the construction of a furniture piece can be critical to developing and retaining both good habits and learning more advanced techniques.
Students in this 6-week workshop learn about frame-and-panel construction, solid wood carcase construction, advanced power tool joinery, drawer-making, installing knife hinges, and fitting a drawer and door. The completion of this beautiful wall cabinet marks the culmination of an individual's initial training in the art and craft of furniture making.
Course fee (including materials) - $575
