Making a Pair of Six-sided Utensil Holders

$180.00

  • To be scheduled in 2024

In the Six-sided Utensil Holders course, we’ll build two useful utensil holders. The larger utensil holder is sized for spatulas and cooking spoons while the smaller utensil holder is capable of holding smaller spoons, chopsticks, and butter knives. It also looks sharp holding your pens and pencils.

We’ll be using the router table to create perfectly fitting beveled edges. The result is a tight, professional looking hexagonal box you’ll be proud to have on your kitchen counter or desk.

For beginners, this is an excellent opportunity to gain some familiarity with woodworking while making a delightful handmade utensil holder. For woodworkers with some experience, it’s a chance to learn some new skills while building a small, manageable project.

The large and small utensil holders are approximately 7” tall by 4” wide and 5” tall by 3” wide, respectively. Each student will make one large and one small utensil holder. Possible species include but are not limited to oak, cherry, and walnut.

Materials are included in the class fee.
